 P&L Stays Hi-Tech
P&L has always been on the leading edge of using productivity tools in every day work. At one time, all we used was a pencil and a calculator. Now essential business tools are PCs, laptops, LANs, the internet, software, cell phones, beepers, voice mail, fax machines, network providers and some things that we don’t know the names of. All of these tools allow us to do better work at lower cost. Simpler no, more efficient yes ! How times have changed, I still remember when P&L used the first laptop at Ask a CPA at Chicago Ridge Mall in 1981, and amazed the other accountants and shoppers with the power and speed of a small notebook computer (Toshiba 1000). By using U.S. Mail 2 day Packs, Federal Express Overnight and the Internet, many companies have been able to pretty much outsource their entire accounting department to P&L. This outsourcing has allowed our clients to concentrate on their main business and to leave the back office work to P&L. We are sure that this will be more of a growth area for us as technology allows former barriers like distance and time zones to disappear. |
